Training Plan for the LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 MTB
You are in, now what?!?
This event is no joke and takes some serious preparation to get through it. It is important to get started early and train consistently and progressively for as long as you can.
I've worked with many athletes who started with a pretty low level of fitness or endurance in January, but they WERE ready by August. You can miss days or workouts from time-to-time, but every week must contain some solid training if you want to be strong for a long day on the bike. There are no shortcuts and you definitely cannot "cram" for this test!
